I know, I know, I have been as consistent with writing blog posts as Mitt Romney has been in his positions.
Some more cool stuff is coming here and some announcements of new stuff in 2012. But, in the meantime, I wanted to write a quick note and wish each and every one of you a very Happy, and somewhat belated, Thanksgiving.
Rachel and I are out in Denver this week visiting with her Dad and step-mom. We packed the two kids onto the car and drove the nearly 1000 miles over two days. The kids did remarkably well; far better than either if us were expecting. That even includes driving across Nebraska during the day!
I have to say, though, that Nebraska was nowhere near as bad as I was thinking it would be. I guess my expectations were so damned low that there was no way that the state could not exceed them. For my Canadian friends and family, if you have not yet experienced Nebraska, just drive across a southern Saskatchewan. Actually, that is far more boring!
But we arrived safe and sound in Denver the day after we left and everyone is thrilled that we are out here.
Which, believe it or not, brings me to the point of this post. I am so thankful for all the blessings and even some of the curses in my life. They have all been learning experiences and each one builds upon the previous one just as it becomes the foundation for the next experience that will come along.
Such as the continuation of this blog and the ability to maintain contact with those of you who read this. I don’t get many comments on this blog (and will gladly beg and plead for more!) so my writings seem a bit one way but I couldn’t care less. I am just thankful that people are reading this.
So, I hope that your holiday weekend has been a joyful occasion and that you take some time to think about what you are thankful for.
And feel free to post your blessings here.
